[Got this email from Daniel Comiskey:]

Dear Friends of Queequeg,

As many of you may already know, I’ve been collaborating with my buddy Ryan Tranum of the experimental electronic band Lou-Lou (not to be confused with Lulu, that Lou Reed + Metallica nonsense). I provide the text + voice, while Ryan handles the beats / samples / electronic sounds. It’s a fairly new outfit, having formed in late June, and we call it Queequeg.

We’re playing a gig at Vermillion Art Gallery Bar this coming Wednesday, November 16th, sharing the bill with Aunt Mama (a storyteller) and the incomparable Doug Nufer, whom the online events calendar for The Stranger just described as–and I quote–“a fucking treasure.” The show starts with Doug at 7 pm, and there is an open mic to follow the 3 featured acts (after a brief intermission). Queequeg is headlining. If you happen to be in Seattle that evening, it would be great to have you in the house. And for those of you so inclined, Vermillion has a full bar. The Queequeg mothership is now a well-oiled electro-poetic machine, and we’re going to totally bring it, people!

For complete event details, please see the attached press release doc.

If you’re on Facebook, and haven’t yet visited our Queequeg Facebook page, please consider doing so. Make sure to “Like” us and we’ll keep you in the loop about future band projects and shows. There is more information about our antics there, as well as photos from previous capers. To be taken there, click on the hyperlink here.

Save the date! Hope to see you there!

And finally, if you would like to be removed from this distribution list in the future, please let me know.
