Kim Hyesoon’s reading is connected with a global Poetry Parnassus thing which in turn is connected with the forthcoming London Olympics.

You can enjoy clicking on the world map of Poetry Parnassus here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/interactive/2012/jun/26/poetry-parnassus-interactive-map?fb=native . But how do you represent the world in poems? The selection is by Bloodaxe’s Neil Astley and Anna Selby, the former widely known and often criticized for his popular topic-centric anthologies. Kim Hyesoon is one of the more unexpected and welcome inclusions that I’ve noticed so far.
